Oceans and seas have always held a great power of fascination, especially on artists. Could we but celebrate this mighty element of our planet, rich in symbolism and inspiration? In our song “Bliss of the sea”, it’s the home to overwhelming forces that can lead to excitement as well as to perdition.
But oceans and seas are unfortunately not as almighty as poets see them. We need to behave responsibly towards our beloved waters: recycling garbage, choosing biodegradable materials over plastic, low-polluting detergents, products from sustainable fishing over the ones that have a heavier impact on marine environment.
